Grammar Check API and SDK​

Our Grammar Check API and SDK is priced according to the number of words you process, with different tiers offering lower rates for higher usage. As you process more words, you'll move to higher tiers, resulting in a lower cost per word.

Word Count Usage Calculation Logic​

Usage will be calculated based on the number of words processed using the Grammar Check API. Word count usage is calculated using the rules stated below:

  • A word is defined as a continuous string of characters surrounded by whitespaces.
  • Whitespaces and newline characters are not counted as words.
  • Standalone numbers and alphanumeric strings are counted as words. For example,
    • "3" → 1 word
    • "34" → 1 word
    • "35 and 45" → 3 words
    • "ANI25" → 1 word
  • Few more standalone examples,
    • “I want to write a letter.” → 6 words
    • “I live 90 miles away.” → 5 words
    • “Hey! How are you?” → 4 words
    • “Back-end and front-end.” → 3 words
  • If you process the same sentence twice, the word count will be calculated twice and your usage will be billed accordingly. For eg. if you process the following:
    • Request 1 - "He plays football like a pro. People like to watch him."
    • Request 2 - "He plays football like a pro. People enjoy watching him."
    The sentence "He plays football like a pro." will be counted twice. The total words processed in both the requests together will be 21.

Prepaid and Postpaid Pricing​

All accounts, by default, require an amount to be deposited against which the API is consumed. As per the usage, the amount from your account will be deducted in real-time. Once you exhaust the amount, API usage will stop providing a response unless you top up your account. You can choose to top up the amount manually or set up a smart top-up on your account at your convenience.

Usage Tracking​

After generating an API key, you can track your usage in the Dashboard and Usage Analytics sections. Usage is updated in real time; however, the available balance is updated every hour. Below are some details regarding usage tracking:

  1. You can analyze usage on both Test and Production keys.

  2. The information displayed on the Dashboard will show your usage in the last 30 days.

  3. To view information about usage over specific time periods, you can set appropriate filters on the Usage Analytics page.

  4. From the Usage Analytics section, you can download a CSV file containing the usage records for a specific time period of your choice.

  5. Since the balance is updated every hour, you might see a negative balance in your account. In such a situation, you can add balance to your account to continue usage.

Pricing Tiers will be the same for both pricing models. Secondly, for both models, tiers will be reset at the start of the calendar month.

Confidential Data Plan​

Trinka's Confidential Data Plan is designed for Enterprises seeking the utmost security, preferring their organizational data not to be stored on our servers. With this plan, content submitted for grammar checking is not permanently saved; it is automatically removed from all our systems once processing is complete. Consequently, your content is not utilized for AI training to enhance our systems, guaranteeing maximum security for your confidential information.
